Six more Marvel films in pipeline between 2019 and 2021, 20th Century Fox reveals

20th Century Fox has revealed that it has set six new release dates for Marvel films between 2019 and 2021.

Fox has reportedly targetted 7 June, 2019, 22 November, 2019, 13 March, 2020, 26 June, 2020, 2 October, 2020, and 5 March, 2021 to release its upcoming films, reported Digital Spy.

The studio which controls the film rights to X-Men and Fantastic Four has three films in the works for release next year, including New Mutants, Deadpool 2 and X-Men: Dark Phoenix.

Apart from them, among the latest Marvel ventures which aren't controlled by Fox, Spider-Man: Homecoming is set to release on 7 July, 2017. This Spider-Man will also have his own  digital assistant like JARVIS, courtesy of Iron Man played by Robert Downey Jr who mentors the young webslinger. The film also stars Michael Keaton, John Favreau, Zendaya, Donald Glover, Tyne Daly and Marisa Tomei. It is directed by Jon Watts.

Thor Ragnarok, slated to release on 3 November,2017, is the third instalment of the Thor franchise after Thor of 2011 and Thor: The Dark World of 2013. It stars Chris Hemsworth, Tom Hiddleston, Cate Blanchett, Mark Ruffalo, Tess Thompson, Anthony Hopkins and Benedict Cumberbatch. It is directed by Taika Waititi.

Black Panther starring Chadwick Boseman, in the titular role as the King of Wakanda turned Avenger, release on 16 February 2018. Boseman is T’Challa, a.k.a. Black Panther, King of Wakanda, a fictional African country that is a major technological leader in the Marvel universe. Directed by Ryan Coogler, Black Panther is the first solo black superhero film in Marvel’s current cinematic universe. It has an extremely diverse cast and crew: Michael B Jordan, Angela Bassett and Danai Gurira.

Avengers: Infinity War, directed by Anthony and Joe Russo, from a screenplay written by Christopher Markus and Stephen McFeely, releases on 4 May, 2018 while its sequel is slated to be released on 3 May, 2019.  Infinity War 1 & 2 are also touted to be the biggest superhero extravaganza for the numerous fans.

The studio is yet to reveal any more details about the forthcoming releases.
