Singer breaks silence On his Instagram post, the singer has finally spoken about the outrage. His post read- “As a young rapper-singer hailing from Punjab, it was my life’s dream to put my music on an international dais. But the recent happenings have tumbled my hard work and progress, and I wanted to say a few words to express my dismay and sorrow.”
He added, “India is MY country too. I was born here. It is the land of my gurus and my ancestors, who didn’t even blink an eye to make sacrifices for the freedom of this land, for its glory, and for the family. And Punjab is my soul, Punjab is in my blood. Whatever I am today, I am because of being a Punjabi.” The aftermath of his post Bharatiya Janata Yuva Morcha President Tajinder Singh Tiwana told Hindustan Times- “There is no space for Khalistanis who are the enemy of the integrity and unity of India. We won’t allow Canadian singer Shubh to perform in the auspicious land of Chhatrapati Shivaji Maharaj, Mumbai. If no proper action is taken, then the organizers will have to face our opposition.” Virat Kohli unfollows the singer The Indian cricketer called Shubh his favourite artist but following the row, he has unfollowed him on social media.
