Simmba box office collection: Ranveer Singh's action entertainer earns Rs 20.72 cr on opening day
Simmba is Ranveer Singh's biggest opening day collection by far with tough competition from Padmaavat, which earned Rs 19 crore.

Simmba is being hailed as a success. While most are appreciating one half of the film over the other, Ranveer Singh's performance is being appreciated across the board. Sara Ali Khan plays Ranveer's love interest in the film.
The Rohit Shetty masala action entertainer has earned Rs 20.72 crore on the opening day. Noted film trade analyst Taran Adarsh tweeted the figures.

Simmba is also Ranveer's biggest opening day collection by far with a close second from Padmaavat, which earned Rs 19 crore.

Simmba may give considerable competition to Shah Rukh Khan's Zero which released prior to the Christmas weekend last week. Director Rohit Shetty shared a post which depicted the ratings that the film received from various reviewers.
Simmba is based on the Telugu film Temper, which starred Jr NTR. Produced by Karan Johar's Dharma Productions and Rohit Shetty Picturez, Simmba released on Friday.
