The parents of the late Punjabi singer Shubhdeep Singh Sidhu, popularly known as Sidhu Moosewala, were earlier confirmed to be expecting a new addition to their family. Days after refuting the claims, Moosewala’s mother Charan Kaur and father, Balkaur Singh have welcomed a baby boy to the family. The late singer’s father confirmed the news through his social media handle as she shared a picture with the newborn baby.

However, it’s been alleged that they have violated IVF rules to welcome the baby whereas the father of the son says he’s being harassed by the Punjab government. That’s not all, the late singer too was mired in multiple controversies during the course of his career.

Back in May 2020, the singer was seen in a video where he could be seen being trained how to use an AK-47 with the help of two police officers, who were later suspended. He was booked under two sections of the Arms Act but was absconding. A month later, he was charged again since his car’s window glasses were tinted darker than permissible. He was also charged for releasing a song called Sanju, where he compared himself to Bollywood star Sanjay Dutt.

His song Jatti Jeone Morh Wargi was looked at with disdain and termed inappropriate by Sikh leaders as it mentioned the name of Mai Bhago, , a 17th-century Sikh warrior woman. That’s not all, In December 2020, Moose Wala released the single “Panjab: My Motherland” in support of the Indian farmers protest against the 2020 Indian agriculture acts.

The Unfortunate Death

The singer-turned-politician was shot dead by unidentified assailants in Jawaharke village in Mansa district of Punjab on Sunday, a day after the Punjab government curtailed his security cover.

Sources said that the singer died before he was taken to the hospital. They said while the incident took place on 5.25 pm and the police got information at 5.50 pm.

The sources said that the presence of gunpowder on the singer’s body indicated that he was fired upon from very close range and the weapon was brought close to his body.
