Sicario: Day of the Soldado trailer — Benicio Del Toro, Josh Brolin start a cartel war where there are no rules
The new trailer reveals plenty of interesting plot details as we find Josh Brolin and Benicio Del Toro go head to head and spark a cartel war.

The official trailer for Sicario: Day of the Soldado was released on Monday and rest assured, there are "no rules" this time around.
Stefano Sollima, director of such acclaimed Italian crime series like Gomorrah and Suburra, helms this sequel to the 2015 sleeper hit Sicario. And it marks an intriguing shift from a stylistic crime thriller to a Hollywood action franchise.

The new trailer reveals plenty of interesting plot details as we find Josh Brolin and Benicio Del Toro go head to head and spark a cartel war.
The vengeful Alejandro (del Toro) is hired yet again by CIA operative Matt Graver (Brolin) to trigger a war between dueling cartels by kidnapping Isabela Reyes, the teenaged daughter of notorious drug kingpin Carlos Reyes. But when the mission is exposed, Graver orders Alejandro to kill Isabela. The mysterious assassin refuses, of course, and finds himself in a new mission to protect the teenager.
While it is understandable to be circumspect considering the original film's director Denis Villeneuve and star Emily Blunt seem to be sitting this one out, Sicario: Day of the Soldado still promises to be a tense thriller.
Other than de Toro and Brolin, the film also stars Isabela Moner, Catherine Keener and Jeffrey Donova.
Sicario: Day of the Soldado, produced by Black Label Media, will hit theatres on 29 June.
