Shoaib Malik ties knot with Sana Javed amid divorce rumours with Sania Mirza

Former Pakistan captain Shoaib Malik left the Internet buzzing after he announced his marriage to actress Sana Javed. Through a new social media post in which the former cricketer shared glimpses of his wedding, he broke the news to his fans amid rumours of separation from Indian tennis great Sania Mirza. Sharing the post on his social media handle, Malik wrote, “Alhamdullilah. And We created you in pairs.”

The pictures shared by Shoaib showed him flashing a bright smile as he posed with his newly wedded wife Sana Javed. Dressed in traditional ivory attire, the duo looked adorable in the pictures where they were seen hugging each other. The pictures prompted heartfelt comments from Internet users who were completely in awe of the pair.

Hours after Shoaib Malik announced his third marriage to actress Sana Javed, Sania Mirza’s family informed that the tennis ace had unilaterally divorced her husband and “it was a ‘khula’”. Khula, meanwhile, refers to the right of a Muslim woman to divorce her husband.

Interestingly, Shoaib Malik’s wedding with Sana Javed comes after Sania Mirza shared a cryptic story on Instagram a few days back saying, “Divorce is hard”. Meanwhile, the duo were recently spotted together celebrating a special occasion after their son Izhaan competed in a swimming competition and won a medal. The Pakistani cricketer shared the news on his social media handle whereas the pictures of the swimming competition were shared by the Izhaan’s Instagram handle, managed by Sania Mirza.

Mirza and Malik tied the knot in 2012 and were blessed with a son, named Izhaan, in October 2018. Speculations around the differences between the couple were at the peak for the last few months with multiple reports claiming that they had split. However, an official confirmation was awaited.

As for Pakistani actress Sana Javed, before tying the knot with Shoaib Malik, the 30-year-old actress was married to Umair Jaswal, who is a Pakistani singer and music producer. Sana has appeared in hit drama serials and also acted in Pakistani films.
