Shatrughan Sinha shuts down rift rumours as he hugs Sonakshi Sinha's husband-to-be Zaheer Iqbal - watch video

Veteran actor and politician Shatrughan Sinha has dismissed rift rumours with daughter Sonakshi Sinha ahead of her wedding as his video of hugging would be son-in-law Zaheer Iqbal surfaces on social media.

Shatrughan and wife Poonam Sinha were snapped at midnight Friday while leaving Zaheer’s house. While there were speculations that Sonakshi’s family is not happy with her decision to tie the knot with her _Double XL_ costar, the photos and videos have finally ended all the rumours.

In a recent interview, Shatrughan Sinha called out the people, who are spreading lies against his family. “Tell me, whose life is it anyway? It’s just the life of my only daughter Sonakshi, whom I’m very proud of and immensely fond of,” said the veteran star to Zoom/Times Now. “She calls me the pillar of her strength. I will be there at the wedding, certainly. Why shouldn’t I and why won’t I?” he added.

The Kalicharan actor said that his daughter ‘has every right to choose her partner’ and he completely supports her. Talking about the couple, he said, “Sonakshi and Zaheer have to live their life together. They look very nice together.”

Those who are coming out with fake news are just sounding very frustrated with this joyous occasion as they are spreading nothing but lies. I’d like to caution them with my signature dialogue: Khamosh, it’s none of your business,” added Sinha.

Earlier, Poonam Dhillon confirmed the wedding of the Dabangg actress and said that she had received a lovely invitation.

“I wish Sonakshi all the very best. She has sent a lovely invitation. I have known her since she was a little girl. I have seen her entire journey. I pray to God she stays happy. She is a lovely warm very loving girl. So I wish her all the joy and happiness. Please keep her happy, Zaheer. She is a lovely girl. She is precious for all of us,” said Poonam while talking to Instant Bollywood.
