Shah Rukh Khan's laid-back beach-side 51st birthday bash in Alibaug, in pictures

Shah Rukh Khan brought in his 51st birthday on Tuesday night with his friends and family in Alibaug after a long schedule of filming Imtiaz Ali’s The Ring in Europe. King Khan’s friends from Bollywood, who were at the bash, includes the likes of Karan Johar, Ranbir Kapoor, Ayan Mukerji, Sanjay Kapoor, Chunky Pandey, Zoya Akhtar and Shweta Bachchan. While all of SRK’s family and friends were present, eldest son Aryan — who is in the US attending college — couldn’t be there and posted a message for his father on Instagram. Mumbai Mirror was told by a source that the guests started streaming in on Tuesday afternoon and were ferried around in golf carts. “They stayed put at the bungalow till the next day, chatting all night. The cake was cut at the dot of midnight after which there were a lot of fun games with the celebs and kids competing with each other. This was followed by a lavish dinner by the seaside,” the Mirror report said. Sanjay Kapoor, whose daughter was born on the same date as SRK (2 November), posted this photo on Instagram:While Sanjay shared a picture of himself, posing with daughter Shanaya and Shah Rukh; Zoya Akhtar shared this picture of Suhana Khan posing with her girl gang: Shanaya and Ananya Pandey.

Shah Rukh Khan and Ranbir Kapoor were spotted together at the party.After his beach-side birthday bash, Shah Rukh Khan headed to Mumbai to meet his fans who had been waiting for him all day outside Mannat. SRK posted this selfie and wrote, “If I could, I would jump amidst you. So that you could take me home. Thank you all for coming and making my birthday so special.
