In a curious co-incidence Aishwarya had also earlier made a special appearance in Shah Rukh's 2000 film Mohabbatein.

With this film the audience will see the popular director- actor jodi Karan Johar-Shah Rukh Khan coming back together after the 2010 film My Name is Khan.

The buzz is that the film is an unofficial remake of the 1977 Rishi Kapoor-Neetu Singh film Doosra Aadmi. SRK is said to be playing the role that Shashi Kapoor played in the original.

There has been no confirmation from the makers about the news.

The film may also be a comeback of sorts for the iconic pairing of Aishwarya Rai and Shah Rukh Khan, who have not worked together since 2002. After giving successful films like Josh and Devdas, the actors stopped working together allegedly after the actress was replaced in four of Khan's films including Chalte Chalte. After the incident the actors have not been great friends and even today the actors are known to only share a cordial relation with each other.

Ae Dil Hai Mushkil, also starring Ranbir Kapoor and Anushka Sharma, will be releasing on 28 October.
