Shah Rukh Khan reveals he attended MET Gala for kids Suhana, Aryan & AbRam: 'I don’t know if I would have come here on my own, but when...' WATCH

Shah Rukh Khan made his grand debut at the MET Gala 2025 and his regal look in black attire won the hearts of millions. However, it was SRK’s kids, Aryan, Suhana & AbRam, who gave him the final push.

“I’m very nervous and excited," the actor confessed before the big fashion night. “I’m actually very shy… I was wondering if I could just run away from this now," the actor said in his classic style.

When questioned what got him to trade his comfort zone for couture? SRK replied, “I have kids who are very excited about the Met. I don’t know if I would have come here on my own, but when Sabyasachi suggested it, my kids went ‘wow’."

“I didn’t know if it was ‘wow’ for me though. However, SRK showed up, suited up, and gave his kids a reason to brag. “Dad did his thing. I’ll be so cool on the carpet for my kids," he added.

Speaking about his look and thoughts on Met Gala, SRK said, “My designer, Sabyasachi, he thought of it, and thought of it as an expression of freedom and trying to be resolute and resilient against things that can oppress you."

When the reporter asked, “Have you ever heard of this or have you had ideas before and never tested it?" The megastar admitted, “Honestly, no, but I got to know now. So the last 20 days, I got to understand what it was. And being an actor, I thought it was very interesting how the resolve to change things without oppression or anger, but have exuberance of art in it. So, yeah, that was marvellous."
