Shah Rukh Khan pays tribute to Bollywood's leading ladies at Lux Golden Rose Awards
Shah Rukh Khan hosted the Lux Golden Rose Awards 2016 and dedicated a custom-made Fan Anthem to his leading ladies including Deepika Padukone and Sridevi.
90s kids will fondly remember the Lux commercial in which Shah Rukh Khan is bathing in a bath tub surrounded by four evergreen beauties of the Hindi film industry – Sridevi, Kareena Kapoor, Hema Malini and Juhi Chawla.
In order to recreate the same magic on the small screen, Khan hosted the Lux Golden Rose Awards 2016 earlier this week.
Filmmaker Karan Johar and actor Arjun Kapoor joined Khan in hosting the awards and giving away the honours. As we could discern from the teaser of the show, legendary female actors Sharmila Tagore, Sridevi, Madhuri Dixit and Deepika Padukone were a part of the show.
In fact, Khan even dedicated a custom-made Fan Anthem to the four ladies which transported us back to his bathtub commercial. However, the tables turned at the award function as it was Khan who was seen wooing the ladies on the stage. Khan was at his energetic and charming best as he danced to the tunes of Jabra Fan.
Kareena Kapoor Khan was present at the show and looked resplendent in a red dress, accompanied by the pregnancy glow on her face. Over the past few months, she has redefined fashion and style for pregnant women when she consciously chose not to hide her baby bump through her wardrobe.
Sushant Singh Rajput, who stole the show with MS Dhoni: The Untold Story, also performed at the function. Among the other actors in attendance were Anushka Sharma, Katrina Kaif, Jackie Shroff, Jacqueline Fernandez, Tapsee Pannu, Arjun Kapoor, Shahid Kapoor, Malaika Arora, Tamannah Bhatia, Aditi Rao Hydari, Pooja Hegde, Ileana D’Cruz, along with filmmaker Kabir Khan.
The awards season has officially begun, ladies and gents.
TUDUM: A Netflix Global Fan Event will be held on 25 September in a virtual format.
Explained: Why Yash Raj Films was asked to compensate viewer for not including 'promo song' in the film Fan
The Supreme Court stayed the NCDRC order asking YRF to compensate complainant who felt 'cheated' by the exclusion of 'Jabra Fan' from Shah Rukh Khan's 2016 film. But it also upheld the exclusion of 'promotional' songs from films as "unfair trade practice."
