The Badshah of Bollywood, Shah Rukh Khan ruled 2023 by delivering 3 blockbusters in the form of Pathaan, Jawan and Dunki. Now, the actor has joined the likes of Gautam Adani and Mukesh Ambani by making his debut in the Hurun India Rich list with a worth of Rs 7,300 crore.

The list is comprised of 334 individuals whose cumulative wealth stands at Rs 159 lakh crore. SRK’s ownership in the Kolkata Knight Riders, which won the IPL title last season, and Red Chillies Entertainment, his production house have contributed majorly to his growing wealth.

The megastar also enjoys a great fanbase on social media with 44.1 million followers on X (formerly Twitter) and 47.4 million on Instagram.

After SRK, his business partner and KKR co-owner and actress Juhi Chawla ranks second among Bollywood names with a wealth of Rs 4,600 crore. Hrithik Roshan stands at the third position with a wealth of Rs 2000 crore and his athleisure brand HRX contributes significantly to his fortune.

Legendary actor Amitabh Bachchan and Producer-director Karan Johar hold 4th and 5th positions with a wealth of Rs 1600 crore and 1400 crore respectively in 2024.

Shah Rukh Khan will next be seen in King, reportedly directed by Sujoy Ghosh. It’s also been reported that Shah Rukh’s daughter Suhana Khan will also star in the movie.

Shah Rukh made the announcement during a Q&A session at the 77th edition of the Locarno Film Festival in Switzerland, where he received the Pardo alla Carriera award-Locarno Tourism, or Career Leopard award.

“The next film that I’m doing King, I have to start working on it. (I have to) Lose some weight, stretch a little so my groin doesn’t get caught when I’m doing action. It’s painful and hurtful. I have a bag full of icing machines. So you keep doing it.

“It’s the worst thing to see me on sets after action. I look really cool in the film. After that I’m tired, somebody is pressing my back, I can’t walk, and then suddenly you see people, and you give flying kisses,” the 58-year-old told festival’s artistic director Giona A Nazzaro at the session.
