How staged are reality shows? Watch Renil Abraham uncover what happens behind the scenes in The Voice India Kids, grill Shaan on his quirky style, and get Shekhar Ravjiani to croon to Neeti Mohan in this hilarious episode of TheFirstpostShow.
The Firstpost Show with Renil Abraham this week was a musical treat right from the sets of &tv’s Voice India Kids and featured the super talented judging panel: Shaan, Shekhar Ravjiani and Neeti Mohan. The show started with Renil getting a very selfish desire of his come true when he got Neeti Mohan to sing one of his favourite compositions by Amit Trivedi called Badri Badariyan from Coke Studio.
The conversation kick started with the topic of drama on Indian television, but when it comes to the international show which is The Voice, the format is far more fast and realistic. When asked about how they create a balance between being sensitive but not over dramatic, they said that on &tv’s Voice India Kids, they are not doing anything more than just reacting to the kids. Shaan added that unlike other shows where he was requested to stage dramatic moments, Voice India Kids is completely real and raw.
They went on talk about how kids on the show are very naive and how that creates the funniest of situations. Neeti recalled an audition round where a kid chose her coach by playing ‘inky pinky ponky’ whereas Shaan remember how he showers some of the kids with innumerous compliments and they would not give happy reactions.
From several other conversations to an extremely fun round of ‘Sing or Dare’, this episode of The Firstpost Show featuring Shaan, Shekhar Ravjiani and Neeti Mohan is a must watch.
