AD Bureau had lent Rs 10 crore to Media One, which had produced the period action film. Latha is the director of the company while one of the actor's daughters is the chairperson. Media One still owes Rs 6.2 crore to AD Bureau and Latha had been the guarantor of the loan, which is why she is named in the order, reports Times of India.
After Kochadaiiyaan had finished filming, the makers suffered a cash crunch for which they had to seek a loan from the distribution company. After the post-production work, the team of the film sold the Tamil Nadu distribution rights to Eros International without consulting AD Bureau, according to a report by India.com.
