JD Mathejia, who has collaborated with Aatish Kapadia for the show, said that the upcoming series will be in tune with the comedy shows that they have made before, which always are coupled with a social message. The title, Kapadia, said alludes to the tiff between the two families. Whereas the idea was conceptualised by Aatish, JD was instrumental in fleshing out the idea and penning the screenplay. Further, he informed that the makers have roped in as many as 19 popular actors from the Gujarati and Marathi film industries, including Deven Bhojani, Paresh Ganatra and Jayesh More. The show is slated to air on SAB TV. While Bhojan has been a pivotal part in both Sarabhai vs Sarabhai and Khichdi, Paresh Ganatra starred in Khichdi: The Movie. The filming for BhakharWadi began on 2 January, and the makers are aiming to release the show in three months.
