Sarabhai vs Sarabhai cast celebrates 10-year-reunion with selfies and songs

It’s been nine years since the show Sarabhai vs Sarabhai aired its last episode. But take heart, you are not the only one missing Maya Sarabhai and her quirky family. The cast and crew of the sitcom reunited for some fun at a 10-year-reunion. Sumeet Raghavan, who essayed the role of Sahil Sarabhai, played host to his fellow actors Satish Shah (Indravadhan Sarabhai), Ratna Pathak Shah (Maya Sarabhai), Rupali Ganguly (Monisha Sarabhai), Rajesh Kumar (Rosesh Sarabhai), Arvind Vaidya (Uncle Madhusudan), director Deven Bhojani and producer JD Majethia. Image: Twitter/@sumeet2271[/caption] Incidentally, even though Raghavan posted on Instagram that it is a 10-year-reunion, IMDb’s episode guide for Sarabhai vs Sarabhai shows that the first episode aired on 8 November, 2004, and the last episode - you know, where the family tries to find a bride for Rosesh - aired on 10 March, 2006. So technically, it’s been 11 years since the sitcom first weaved its way into our hearts. Anyway, we’d rather focus on the fun bit. Raghavan posted photos of the reunion on Instagram, instantly taking all of us on a nostalgia trip. As he reveals in the caption of one of his photos, the team met “at my house for dinner” as they “complete 10yrs #madness #bonding”. Of course, the cast and crew of probably the best comedy show on Hindi television did not stop at just dinner. Raghavan’s videos on Instagram show what else the team was up to that night. For one, they sat down to watch some of the best episodes of the show and had a lovely time laughing out loud.They also sang the title track in an endearingly off-key way that just makes us wish even more for a second season.
