Sara Ali Khan reveals Sharmila Tagore messaged Amrita Singh after 14 years, following Kedarnath release
Sara Ali Khan said that the fact that her family connected over her performance in Kedarnath was a special moment for her.

Sara Ali Khan has been receiving considerable praise for her performance in Kedarnath. She recently shared her grandmother Sharmila Tagore's reaction to her film. She stated that after watching Kedarnath, the veteran actress had sent Sara's mother Amrita Singh a text message after 14 years.

Singh was formerly married to Saif Ali Khan. In her interaction with the media, Sara stated that post the release of Kedarnath, both Singh and Khan have been receiving congratulatory messages for her performance in the film. She said that Tagore's message to her mother after such a long span was a moment of pride for the newcomer as it brought the family closer. "If as a character, you can bring audiences together and as an individual you can bring your family together for 30 seconds also, that's something," stated Sara. The actress also added that Tagore was proud of Sara's acting in Kedarnath.
Sara's upcoming project after Kedarnath will be Simmba, for which the actress has already begun promotions. Featuring opposite Ranveer Singh, Sara will be seen in this action drama which is helmed by Rohit Shetty. Simmba is a remake of South Indian hit Temper and is slated to hit the theatres on 28 December.
