Sara Ali Khan reveals her mother Amrita Singh wept in climax of her debut film Kedarnath
Sara Ali Khan said that it was 'a big one' for her when she saw her mother crying in the Kedarnath climax, despite having heard the narration earlier.
In an interview with DNA, she said that while Singh had heard the narration of the script and watched a few rushes of the movie, she cried in the climax. "She still cried in the climax, so that was a big one for me.” she said.
Recently, Saif Ali Khan spoke about his daughter's performance in the Sushant Singh Rajput-starrer. Calling Sara a 'thinking actor', he said to Pinkvilla, "(Sara is) Way better than what I was.” Moreover, Saif ensured the matter reached a resolution when Sara was briefly involved in a legal dispute when she while shooting Kedarnath.
Kedarnath is a romantic drama which revolves around the daughter of a Hindu priest and a Muslim porter, against the backdrop of the unfortunate floods of 2013 in Uttarakhand which destroyed many lives. The film has opened to mixed reviews, but Sara's performance is being praised across the board.
Sara is currently awaiting the release of Rohit Shetty's cop flick Simmba, where she will be playing the female lead opposite Ranveer Singh. The film is slated to hit the theatres on 28 December.
'I'm very happy that I can carry this legacy forward and even if I get 20 percent of the respect that my father has earned, I would be very happy,' says Ahan Shetty.
