Sanjay Dutt's parole extended till 19 February

Sanjay Dutt’s parole has been extended till 19 February. According to a CNN IBN report, Dutt, who is serving the remaining tenure of his five-year jail term in the 1993 Mumbai blasts case at the Yerawada Central Jail in Pune will not return to jail today as was scheduled. He will continue to be out and be with his wife till 19 February. Despite the controversy over the grounds under which he was being granted parole, actor Sanjay Dutt left Yerwada jail on 21 December after his parole of 30 days was approved by the Pune Police. The actor had sought parole on the grounds that his wife Maanyata was ill. Maanayata, who has been diagnosed with a tumour in the liver and a symptoms of a heart ailment, was admitted to a hospital earlier this month. She was admitted to Global Hospital in Mumbai where she was undergoing treatment under the supervision of Dr Ajay Chaughule, a senior heart and cardio thoracic surgeon. Dr Ajay Chaughule had earlier told PTI that,  “We are doing complete investigation for everything for some problems she has… There are lots of tests that she will have to undergo..”
