Sanjay Dutt's next project to be a musical-comedy scripted by writer-duo Sajid-Farhad
Sanjay Dutt's next film will be a musical comedy, and is being written by writer-duo of Dhamaal, Golmaal Returns and Housefull 2 — Sajid-Farhad.
Sanjay Dutt seems to have become quite selective about his upcoming projects. After Bhoomi was proved a complete failure at the box office, the actor, who is now busy wrapping up Tigmanshu Dhulia’s Saheb, Biwi Aur Gangster's third installment, has reportedly signed a new film.
The film, which is going to be a musical comedy, is being written by writer-duo of Dhamaal, Golmaal Returns and Housefull 2 — Sajid-Farhad, and will be directed by Ajay and Lovel Arora. A report in Mumbai Mirror claims that the film would go on floors in April.
“The film marks Sanjay’s return to the comedy genre. The team had conducted an extensive recee in Goa and Mauritius for the multi-starrer being produced by Sandeep Singh who had earlier collaborated with the actor on Bhoomi. A big studio is expected to come on-board as co-producers shortly," a source close to the team said.
According to reports, a major part of the film will be shot in Mauritius. And the makers are yet to finalise the ensemble cast. Producer Sandeep Singh also added that the film will have five songs.
Other than the Timangshu Dhulia film, Dutt will also be seen in films like Panipat and Torbaaz. While Panipat is a period drama under Ashutosh Gowariker's direction, in Torbaaz he will be seen in a role of an Army officer who would teach cricket to suicide bombers from Afghanistan.
Dilip Kumar was initially supposed to be discharged on Thursday but the family and the doctors decided to let him rest in the medical facility for another day.
"It is a humble request to all producers, consider me and put some money on me," Sharad Kelkar said
