Grammy Award winner Sam Smith recently cancelled several shows including his Australia performance owing to ill health. According to a report in Inquisitr, the British pop singer has a vocal hemorrhage which has to be operated. Smith took to Twitter recently to inform his fans about the bad news:
Reports claim that Smith tries all other alternatives before opting for surgery. Apparently, the ‘Stay With Me’ singer gave his voice complete rest for ten days, however, despite that when his condition did not improve, he decided to go for surgery. Reuters[/caption] Vocal hemorrhage can be described as blood leaking from an injured blood vessel into the vocal fold and can effect people’s speaking and singing abilities considerably. However, all Smith fans take heart! Several pop stars have suffered vocal hemorrhage in past and have managed to not only sing but also have a perfectly good career. Reportedly, Ariana Grande and Adele also happen to among them. If Smith’s Twitter feed is anything to go by the singer seems to be in United States currently and will probably get his surgery done there. As his entire career is riding on his voice, Smith is obviously extremely stressed about his situation. Reportedly, the singer is getting rashes all over his body due to stress.
