Salman Khan’s Sikandar Smashes Records Again, Outperforms Eid Releases of the Last 2 Years Without Him

Salman Khan has done it again. His latest film Sikandar has stormed past the ₹200 crore mark at the box office, and let’s be honest—this credit belongs entirely to one man: Salman Khan.

While last year on Eid, the much anticipated film Bade Miyan Chote Miyan opened to a mere ₹16.07 cr and Maidaan struggled to fare double digits earning only ₹4.5 crores on the box office, Sikandar’s opening day box office report stood at ₹27.50 cr. which was more than what the past Eid releases’ combined box office numbers.

Bade Miyan Chote Miyaan wrapped up its run with ₹59.17 crore lifetime collection, while Maidaan earned ₹52.29 crore.

Sikandar, powered purely by Salman’s mass appeal, has more than doubled the combined lifetime collection of both these films.

What’s really impressive is that despite Sikandar being released during the festival it didn’t have any extended weekends to lean on. No gimmicks, no multi-hero ensemble—just Salman Khan doing what he does best: owning the screen and pulling in the crowds.
