Salman Ali wins Indian Idol 10; Zero stars Shah Rukh, Katrina, Anushka shake a leg with finalists
Indian Idol 10 was won by Salman Ali. Ankush Bharadwaj and Neelanjana were declared as runners-up.

The winner of Indian Idol season 10 was declared on 23 December. Salman Ali, who hails from Mewat in Haryana, was declared as the winner of the singing reality show while Ankush Bharadwaj and Neelanjana Ray were the runners-up.

Ali won Rs 25 lakh as cash prize and a Datsun Go car, according to India Today. He garnered over 2 crore votes to win the title. The runners-up were awarded a cash prize of Rs 5 lakh each. Shah Rukh Khan, along with Anushka Sharma and Katrina Kaif, also visited the sets of Indian Idol to promote their film Zero. Khan even shook a leg with the contestants when they performed a medley of his songs, marking his 25 year old journey in Bollywood. Khan had Ali sing 'Sajda' from My Name is Khan as he danced and lip-synced to it, writes News18.

The judges Neha Kakkar, Vishal Dadlani and Javed Ali also entertained the audience with their best songs. Shilpa Shetty and Geeta Kapur made an appearance on the grand finale to announce a new installment of Super Dancer. Kiku Sharda also came to promote the upcoming season of The Kapil Sharma Show.
