Saiyami Kher on Ranbir Kapoor's 'Animal': 'Was very triggered, very disturbed, would rather watch Rockstar and Barfi'

Ranbir Kapoor’s Animal is arguably the most dissected film of the year, with opinions floating around the film every other day. And in an interview with Bollywood Hungama, actress Saiyami Kher also had somethings to say about the film. She said she would rather watch films like Rockstar and Barfi. She added, “Personally, for me, I have been told very strongly do not tell your opinions because nobody wants to hear that. But I was very triggered, very disturbed. Every director has the right to make everything that he wants, but somewhere, you have a responsibility towards people. Cinema has the power to influence people, and I truly believe that, in the good and in the bad way.”

“I personally don’t agree with the phenomenon of glorifying somebody who is a dark and bad character. With great power comes great responsibility, so I would consider that when working,” she continued. Even after 3 weeks of its release, the Bhushan Kumar produced and Sandeep Reddy Vanga-directed Animal starring Ranbir Kapoor, Anil Kapoor, Rashmika Mandanna, Bobby Deol, and Tripti Dimri stands strong. The film’s craze in the Hindi market continues with shows running houseful despite Shah Rukh Khan’s  _Dunki_ and Prabhas’  _Salaar_ released. Not just that, in mass pockets like Ahmedabad, Jaipur, UP and several other places fans have been demanding to add more shows for Animal. Many fans have taken to social media asking for more shows for Animal. Vanga’s directorial has emerged as a bonafide blockbuster, its day one box office collections have been more as compared to Dunki and Salaar. With so much hype around the Ranbir Kapoor film is surely ruling millions of hearts.
