Ahaan Panday and Aneet Padda’s Saiyaara created some insane and unbelievable records at the box office, which is phenomenal considering the musical drama features newcomers.
The Mohit Suri directorial became the first YRF film that streamed on Netflix, and it made more than Rs 300 crore at the box-office.
Not only fans and audiences, _Saiyaara_ garnered praise from celebs like Alia Bhatt, Ranveer Singh, Aamir Khan, Mahesh Babu, Arjun Kapoor, Ameesha Patel, Siddharth Anand, Sandeep Reddy Vanga, Karan Johar, Anurag Basu and Anil Kapoor, among others, for its storyline, direction and performances.
In an interview with GQ recently, when Ahaan Panday was asked about his performance in the film, he quipped, ““Honestly, I’d given myself 10 years to get to this point. That’s how long I thought it would take to get this kind of love that the audience gave me for _Saiyaara_.”
He added, “For the first two months, it was just overwhelming in the best way. Once things started to settle, the only thing that I kept coming back to was: ‘I just have to get back on set and give the love back.”
Ahaan revealed, “You have the X factor. Treat your dreams like skydiving—once you jump, there’s no looking back. She probably doesn’t even know I’m the same guy who ended up doing Saiyaara, but that moment stayed with me.”
The actor also revealed he and Aneet Padda are not together, thus putting all the dating rumours to rest.
