Sharmila says Saif, Kareena to tie the knot on 16 October

Saif Ali Khan and Kareena Kapoor’s fans, who have been waiting for the couple’s impending marriage, finally have a prospective date! Saif’s mother, Sharmila Tagore, has confirmed her son’s marriage to actor Kareena Kapoor will take place on 16 October, reported Mid Day. “Yes, that’s the date we have decided upon. There will be a reception, too, but not a very big one.” [caption id=“attachment_330872” align=“alignleft” width=“380” caption=“Kareena Kapoor and Saif Ali Khan. And if you’re worried about Kareena’s future in Bollywood, and whether she will disappear from the screen after becoming the Nawab bahu, don’t be.

Sources close to Tagore told Mid Day that Kapoor, like her would be mother-in-law, will continue acting in films. “Sharmila’s best innings as an actress started after marriage. Saif was a baby on the sets of one of her best films, Aradhana. Kareena will follow in her footsteps. After marriage, she will do two films a year. Right after she completes Madhur Bhandarkar’s Heroine, she’ll begin shooting for Sanjay Leela Bhansali’s ‘Ram Leela’,” said the source.
