Sabyasachi Mukherjee’s designs are famous for their old world aesthetic. His new ‘The Udaipur Collection’ beautifully marries floral motifs with the regal charm of Rajasthani royalty. The collection seems like a must for a spring bride’s wardrobe with its understated colours and floral motifs. He spoke to Vogue India about the inspiration behind the collection. He said, “Whether the maharanis in their French chiffon with European flora and fauna print, the maharajas in their quiet arrogance, the exuberant interiors of their majestic palaces, their culture, traditions of clothing, their often eclectic tastes in luxury, all of those notions and insinuations come to life with my creative liberty in the Udaipur collection.” The designer debuted the collection in a very new-age way on Instagram on 26 February at 9 pm. The palaces of Udaipur add to the old world charm of the collection in the photos. Here are the five looks that we think are must-haves :
