Saaho: Is poster of Prabhas' next uncannily similar to Blade Runner 2049?

Telugu superstar Prabhas is currently a force to reckon with in the entertainment industry. With staggering success that followed with the release of SS Rajamouli's magnum opus — Baahubali: The Beginning and Baahubali 2: The Conclusion — Prabhas' stardom witnessed unfathomable heights. With so much hype around his new film Saaho, there seems to a lot of scrutiny and detail being paid to every thing related to the film.

Now, there is a speculation doing the rounds pertaining to Saaho's latest poster. Many feel it bears a stark resemblance to Ryan Gosling's look in Blade Runner 2049.

Saaho Is poster of Prabhas next uncannily similar to Blade Runner 2049

In the poster of Saaho, Prabhas is seen walking on a foggy street, decked up in black from head to toe, teaming a black overcoat with black trousers. He covers the lower half of his face with a black scarf. This is pretty much the same description of Ryan Gosling in the Blade Runner 2049 poster.

At a glance, one can't even make out that both these pictures are from two different films coming from two geographically polar film industries. While the whole conjecture around the Saaho poster being inspired from Blade Runner 2049 is still contentious, there's no denying the fact that both of them look suave and classy.

Gosling's Blade Runner 2049, directed by Denis Villeneuve, is based in a dystopian futuristic world, also seen in the 1982 acclaimed film Blade Runner starring Harrison Ford. On the other hand, Prabhas' Saaho is touted to be a more contemporary action-thriller.

Saaho also stars  Shraddha Kapoor as the lead actress opposite Prabhas. Neil Nitin Mukesh will be seen in the role of the prime antagonist. Joining Mukesh in the evil bandwagon are a bevy of Bollywood actors of the likes of Jackie Shroff, Chunky Pandey, Tinnu Anand, Mahesh Manjrekar and Mandira Bedi.

The film, co-produced by UV Creations and Karan Johar's Dharma Productions, will be simultaneously released in Hindi, Tamil and Telugu and is slated to release sometime in 2018.
