In a tragic piece of news for acclaimed cinematographer KK Senthil Kumar, his wife Roohi aka Ruheenaaz passed away on Thursday, 15 February due to numerous health issues. According to a statement issued by Senthil’s team, Roohi took her last breath at the KKIMS Hospital in Secunderabad, Telangana. Roohi had been receiving treatment for the last few days, however, succumbed due to multiple organ failure on Thursday afternoon. The statement further also added that her final rites will take place on Friday, 16 February at Mahaprasthanam, Jubilee Hills. “Cinematographer Senthil’s wife #Roohi garu passed away (on Thursday) at 2 pm. Final rites (on Friday) at 9 am at Mahaprasthanam, Jubilee Hills,” the statement read. Fans extend condolences to Senthil Kumar As soon as the news came out, fans of the couple were seen mourning Roohi’s demise. Several pictures and videos of Senthil and Roohi from the sets of their popular films including Baahubali also resurfaced on the internet.
In the meantime, a few visuals from Senthil Kumar’s residence have also surfaced on the internet, showing close friends and family members arriving to pay their last respects to her. About Senthil Kumar and Roohi Roohi was a professional yoga instructor, known for working with numerous celebrities including Anushka Shetty, Prabhas, and Ileana D’Cruz. She got married to the acclaimed cinematographer in June 2009 and then moved to Hyderabad, where she successfully continued her career. As per the latest reports, Senthil was on leave from his work to spend time with his ailing wife and take care of her. KK Senthil Kumar is one of the most recognised cinematographers in the South. Quite a constant on SS Rajamouli’s team, they have worked together in hit films like Baahubali: The Beginning, Baahubali: The Conclusion, Magadheera, Arundhati, Yamadonga, Chatrapathi, Eega, and also the Oscar-winning film, RRR. Featuring actors like Ram Charan and Jr NTR in the lead roles, the film is set in the 1920s when India was under British rule. It not only earned huge numbers at the box office but also created history at the Oscars.
