What happens in Florida… does it stay in Florida? Here’s the first look at Scarlett Johansson’s new film Rough Night. Image via Youtube[/caption] The star plays a bride-to-be who heads to Miami to reunite with her college friends — played by Zoe Kravitz, Jillian Bell, Ilana Glazer and _Saturday Night Live’_s Kate McKinnon with an accent. The clip’s first half plays like a traditional film comedy as Johansson reunites with her college best friends, and the quintet take drunken shots, score some cocaine and hire a male stripper. “We’re gonna be swimmin’ in dick, girl,” Bell tells the bride-to-be. Then the trailer takes an unexpected turn and morphs into a black comedy midway through, after an over-eager Bell accidentally kills a male stripper. “Let’s get to the beans,” she shouts, moments before the dancer’s demise. From there, the trailer previews their attempts to hide the evidence – a task that evidently includes jet-skis, guns and car chases. Originally titled Rock That Body, the script comes from Broad City writers Lucia Aniello and Paul W. Downs. Rough Night takes an interesting, engaging concept — inherent unease that seems to accompany female friendships that was demonstrated in Bridesmaids — and adds a twist that is expected of the Hangover trilogy in the plotline: will the heroines team together and bond over a catastrophe? Or will Rough Night end up being yet another cliched film about female friendships? Could this signify the coming of age of R-rated comedies with women who are open about their sexuality? Time will tell. Rough Night hits theaters on 16 June 2017:
