'Rocket Saiyyan': Shubh Mangal Saavdhan's new song video is full of amusing mishaps

‘Rocket Saiyyan’, the new track from Ayushmann Khuranna and Bhumi Pednekar-starrer Shubh Mangal Saavdhan has been released, and it captures the essence of the film — amusing mishaps — completely. Sung by Ritu Pathak, Brijesh Shandilya and Tanishk Bagchi, the track shows the viewer everything that the trailer has said about a hapless Khuranna and a free-spirited Pednekar. The plot is tells the story of a couple, Mudit and Sugandha, who have to deal with the former’s erectile dysfunction. Composed by musical duo Tanishk-Vayu, ‘Rocket Saiyyan’ cleverly alludes to the overarching theme of the film. Picturised on the lead actors gearing up for their wedding, the video of the song documents their topsy-turvy journey as a couple dealing with a stigmatised medical condition. Shubh Mangal Saavdhan is the duo’s second film together after their 2015 sleeper hit Dum Laga Ke Haisha. The upcoming romantic comedy, too, is reminiscent of their previous project, with the same simplistic setting and realistic characters. The film is Bhumi’s third film post her debut. She will also appear in the Akshay Kumar-starrer Toilet: Ek Prem Katha, while Aayushmann will be seen next in Bareilly Ki Barfi, where he stars with Kriti Sanon and Rajkummar Rao. Produced by Aanand L Rai, Shubh Mangal Saavdhan is set to hit the screens on 1 September.
