YouTuber RJ Mahvash recently shared that she is ‘very single’ amid relationship rumours with cricketer Yuzvendra Chahal. She has been linked to Chahal ever since they appeared together at the Champions Trophy final between India and New Zealand. This came just days after his divorce from YouTuber Dhanashree Verma.
However, Mahvash said that she will only date when she wants to get married. “I’m very single and happy. I don’t understand the current concept of marriage, and I am someone who would only date someone when I want to marry that person, so I don’t go out on casual dates. Just like Ali in Dhoom, I start imagining kids and the future,” RJ Mahvash in an interview with Yuvaa on YouTube.
Talking about her future partner, she shared, “I can sacrifice on looks; I can teach him romance, and I can make him filmy and hopeless romantic, but you can’t make someone funny. I think every girl should look for a funny guy.”
Mahvash also spoke about her previous engagement and how she felt after the breakup. The YouTuber said that it is always the women who are blamed for unsuccessful relationships. She revealed that she stayed with her ex for three years despite knowing that he was cheating on her as she was afraid of what people would say. “Everyone would have said that the engagement broke because there was something missing in the girl; it’s always the girl. Whether it’s a divorce or breakup, it’s women who always bear the blame,” shared Mahvash.
Mahvash also said that Dhanashree Verma contacted her and expressed her gratitude when she supported her online, as the latter was blamed by netizens for ending her marriage with Chahal. “I had posted a story in support of her because I thought she was being treated very unfairly. She reached out to me and thanked me for the support as she was going through a very difficult time,” she said.
“Everytime a cricketer is breaking up or getting divorced, the woman is bashed left right and centre just because in our head our cricketer is our hero. None of us have any idea what happened between the two or even during Natasha and Hardik’s case but of course it’s the woman who is at fault. Oh and don’t forget the time when Anushka was blamed for Virat’s bad performances. Remember? So it’s always the woman who is to be blamed for the man’s action? These are grown men with fully functioning brains who know what they are doing,” she added.
