Shah Rukh Khan, Akshay Kumar, Riteish Deshmukh and other stars expressed shock and grief as the Air India flight AI171, from Ahmedabad to London Gatwick, was involved in an accident on June 12 after take-off. The reported passengers onboard were 242. Former Chief Minister Vijay Rupani was on the flight too.
And now, days after the unfortunate incident, actress Raveena Tandon flew Air India and shared this caption- “New Beginnings … to rise and fly again against all odds … to pick up and start all over , new resolve towards greater strength. The atmosphere solemn and the crews welcoming smiles, tinted with sadness.”
She added, “The Silent passengers and crew bonding with unspoken condolences and subtle confidence .Condolences to the families that have lost their loved ones . A wound that will never heal. . Godspeed always.”
But netizens have mixed reactions:
One wrote- “I guarantee you if one of her family was on that that flight (God Forbid) she would never in a million years do this.”
A second said, ‘Her words “pick up and rise again” “to pick up and start all over” can be construed as everything is resolved, she is literally saying, it’s all good now, come and fly. I mean, would she take responsibility if such an incident happen?"
A third commented- “So insensitive towards all the grieving loved ones who lost someone in that tragic accident. Bet it’s a paid post.”
And another said, “Feel like she’s motivating the crew and passengers onboard who fly regularly via these flights. There is a sense of doom and fear in crew and flyers in general so I don’t see anything wrong with this.”
