Rashmika Mandanna's underwater photoshoot in Bengaluru's Bellandur lake aims to raise awareness on water pollution
Belandur lake, where Rashmika Mandanna had her photoshoot, has been one of the most affected lakes with layers of toxic waste every year.

One of India's harrowing issues has been water pollution. Recently, South Indian actress Rashmika Mandanna did an underwater photoshoot to raise awareness about this cause. The photoshoot was held at Bellandur lake in Bengaluru. The lake is quite infamous as it invariably froths up every year.
The shoot was helmed by Sanmathi D Prasad. Mandanna shared images from the shoot over social media. The actress spoke about her experience and the fact that she did not have any clue about the water pollution levels of the lake till she actually visited the water body. She urged all her followers to take note of the situation and spread awareness on the matter.
Reportedly, the lake has often been surfaced with layers of toxic froth which even caught fire in the recent past.
