Ranvir Shorey slams IndiGo Airlines after 10-hour flight delay, says 'When we approached the staff, he said...'

The existing cold wave conditions in several pockets of the country followed by the thick fog have directly affected flight movements, leading to delays and even cancellations at various airports. While normal citizens are already bearing the brunt, it seems like the celebrities are also no different.

Bollywood actor Ranvir Shorey recently lashed out at IndiGo Airlines after his flight was delayed for more than 10 hours and he was not even intimated about the same.

Ranvir Shorey slams airline for flight delay

The actor said his flight was scheduled for 2 PM and he, along with seven others, checked into the airport as stipulated, only to be informed that the flight was three hours late due to bad weather. Stating that they were not intimated before reaching the airport, Shorey added that no one complained thinking that there might be a communication issue and is completely understandable. However, things took a turn for worse after the flight scheduled for 5 PM was said to be another three hours late and will take off at 8 PM.

“This seemed fishy to us, as the “fog” should be clearing up, not getting worse as the day progresses. One of my friends looked up the Indigo website to check the routing of our aircraft. It very clearly said that the aircraft that was supposed to fly us was coming in from Kolkata, which had reported no fog issues and had already arrived at Bangalore.

“When we confronted the Indigo staff with this information, he simply said that the website has not been updated properly, and gave us his “personal guarantee” that the flight would take off at around 8 PM,” he wrote.

Ranvir also mentioned how he was anxious as his child was alone at home and thus started to lose his cool after he was informed that the flight would take off after 10 PM.

A rough account of what @IndiGo6E put us through yesterday:

Our flight was scheduled for 2 PM. All 8 of us checked in 2 hours prior as stipulated, and only then were we informed that the flight is 3 hours late due to bad weather (fog). We were not intimated prior to reaching…

Claiming that they were merely being fed with “non-stop lies” for the last 8 to 9 hours, leaving them in a hopeless situation, the actor said that the airlines had no pilot for the flight, which eventually caused the delay. He also asserted that he would file a complaint for the trauma the entire group had to face due to the airlines.

This comes just days after actress Radhika Apte also shared a similar account. She was locked in an aerobridge at Mumbai airport with many other passengers as the flight failed to take off at the scheduled time.
