Ranveer Singh announced his next with Uri: The Surgical Strike director Adhiya Dhar in July and it turned out to be a frenzy on social media. While fans are eagerly waiting for this venture, it was recently reported that the 19-year-old Sara Arjun, who played young Aishwarya Rai Bachchan in Ponniyin Selvan, will be the love interest of Ranveer in the multi-starrer.
“Although her role is said to be relatively small in this male-dominated story, this film (by Aditya Dhar) marks her transition to a lead heroine after years of being known as a child actress in Hindi and Telugu cinema,” reports Peeping Moon.
With the 20-year age-gap between Ranveer and Sara, the topic has garnered divided reactions on Reddit.
While one user wrote, “Isn’t Deepika and Anushka both have 20+ age gap with SRK and they both debuted when they were around 19-20 age,” another wrote, “Ranveer didn’t choose her as heroine .. so no need to demonise him .
