Ranveer Singh announced his next with Uri: The Surgical Strike director Adhiya Dhar in July and it turned out to be a frenzy on social media. While fans are eagerly waiting for this venture, it was recently reported that the 19-year-old Sara Arjun, who played young Aishwarya Rai Bachchan in Ponniyin Selvan, will be the love interest of Ranveer in the multi-starrer.

With the 20-year age-gap between Ranveer and Sara, the topic has garnered divided reactions on Reddit.

While one user wrote, “Isn’t Deepika and Anushka both have 20+ age gap with SRK and they both debuted when they were around 19-20 age,” another wrote, “Ranveer didn’t choose her as heroine .. so no need to demonise him . Also 18+ adult has accepted a role to make a career in films . Let’s not ruin her chance in the name of calling her out.”

Slamming the casting, one user commented, “They look like an uncle because they are an uncle. Ranveer is gross for even agreeing to romance her!”
