Soon-to-be-parents Deepika Padukone and Ranveer Singh seemingly had a blast at the recently concluded pre-wedding festivities of Anant Ambani and Radhika Merchant, in Jamnagar. The testament is a video that is being widely circulated on social media.
In the video, Deepika and Ranveer are joyfully singing the title track of Ek Minute as they engage in a game of peek-a-boo with filmmaker and production designer Omung Kumar. The fun-filled video is winning the hearts of the users across social media handles.
Showcasing Ranveer Singh as the true-blue ’90s kid as he sings his rendition of the song, the video was posted by Omung on his Instagram handle with a caption that reads, “Who remembers EK MINUTE title track of my game show from 1993!! Well @ranveersingh and @deepikapadukone remember it… and how nice of them to sing it for me Memories of childhood don’t die so fast The title tract was so famous that everyone still remembers it… feel so good.” The video also shows Deepika playfully saying, “This part even I remember.”
Omung shot to fame after he hosted the popular television game show, Just Ek Minute, which aired on Zee TV in the ’90s. The game’s concept was based on quirky tasks that were expected to be completed within a minute by the contestants participating in the show. Following the show’s success, Omung went on to make his directorial debut with Priyanka Chopra’s Mary Kom in 2014. He also directed the film Sarbjit which was released in 2016. Sarbjit featured Randeep Hooda and Aishwarya Rai Bachchan in the lead roles.
Deepika and Ranveer mesmerised everyone with their glamorous presence at the Gujarat three-day gala hosted by the Ambani family. Among the many videos of the couple that are trending on social media, the one that has raked in the most views shows the couple dancing to the track Galla Goodiyan from Dil Dhadakane Do. Meanwhile, they recently announced the pregnancy of Deepika on social media and revealed that the baby will arrive in September 2024.
