Ranveer Ching Returns: This is an ad masquerading as a Rohit Shetty entertainer
Ranveer Ching Returns, a much-talked about project by Ranveer Singh and Rohit Shetty, is finally out. Fans have been eagerly awaiting the film's release.
Ranveer Ching Returns, a much-talked about project by Ranveer Singh and Rohit Shetty, is finally out. The promos and trailer had created a lot of buzz and fans have been eagerly awaiting for the film's release.
While the five-minute video is being touted as a film it is evidently clear that it is nothing more than an advertisement for Ching's Secret, a brand that Ranveer promotes.
What seems surprising though is the money and efforts invested by the Chinese instant food brand to advertise products that would come in the nominal price range of Rs 10 to 50.
The commercial, that also stars actress Tamannaah Bhatia, provides you all that you expect from any Rohit Shetty film – action, drama and romance.
Dressed in a leather jacket with a feathered headgear Ranveer Singh breaks onto the screen with the now-famous "My Name is Ranveer Ching" song playing in the background.
The film ends with a "to be continued" promising fans there's more.
The makers shared a note with the video saying, "The Ching's audience is a really smart, young and cool one. And instead of boring you with another ‘bhookh lagi hai, khaana do’ ad with moms and kids — we’d rather entertain you! We’re just having some fun — not trying to change the world — this is our max mad tribute to Mad Max with a Bollywood twist. It’s got all the ingredients of a masaaledaar blockbuster including Gaana, Heroine ko pataana, Villain ko bajaana, mazedaar khaana — all with a Desi Chinese tadka."
Lot of big names have associated themselves with the project including Shankar-Ehsaan-Loy, who have composed the music, Gulzar who has written the lyrics and Ganesh Acharya, choreographing the moves.
The makers had created a lot of curiosity around who is playing Ranveer's mom in this film. We won't give any spoilers here. Watch the video below to know:
