Ranbir Kapoor recently appeared on Telugu superstar Nandamuri Balakrishna’s show Unstoppable with NBK 2 with co-star Rashmika Mandanna and his director Sandeep Reddy Vanga. Noting that he got scared after hearing the narration of _Animal_ , Ranbir recalled that his reaction even left the director Sandeep Reddy Vanga ‘panicking’. Ranbir Kapoor ‘ran to the bathroom’ after hearing the script of Animal The actor during his conversation on the show said, “I think when he (Sandeep Reddy Vanga) came to narrate the story to me, the title was very different. I remember I went to the bathroom and didn’t come out for 5 minutes as I was very scared. It felt very different from all the characters I have done and I am very grateful for him to give me this opportunity. Not many directors see me in roles like this.” The actor further explained that he locked himself in the bathroom, thinking whether he would be able to pull the role. “I was looking at myself in the mirror and I really wanted to see if I could see myself like this character because of how he was seeing me,” he said.
Ranbir further added how he found the director smoking cigarettes thinking about it.
Notably, the director also recalled how he thought that Ranbir would reject the role. Noticing his disappearance after the narration, Sandeep Reddy Vanga thought that “he won’t come back” as it was probably his style of saying no. “I thought this was how Hindi actors probably say no when they don’t like scripts,” Sandeep confessed.
