Sarkar 2 or Sarkar Raj, which released in 2008 had Amitabh Bachchan in the lead role with son Abhishek Bachchan and and daughter-in-law Aishwarya Rai was touted as a ‘family affair’. The plot followed Anita Rajan (Aishwarya Rai Bachchan), CEO of an international electrical power firm based in London trying to set up a multi-million dollar power plant in rural parts of the state of Maharashtra in India. Anita Rajan enlists the help of Subhash Nagre (Amitabh Bachchan). This is not the only project for director Ram Gopal Varma though. The prolific director put out a full-page advertisement Bombay Times. The film seems to be about the World War but no further details about the plot have been revealed. He also tweeted the film announcement:
