Many South films face the grave issue of piracy. With sites like the Tamil Rockers releasing full HD prints of films within hours of its release, the governments have also now turned lackadaisical towards the issue. Recently, there were tweets shared by fans which showed Petta being screened in government buses. One such tweet was brought to the notice of Tamil Film Producer’s Council president and Nadigar Sangam secretary Vishal, who shared the clip online, urging government bodies to take action.
As per
reports
, the anti-piracy cell also responded to Vishal’s plea, stating that they were looking into the issue and would take the necessary action at the soonest. [caption id=“attachment_5935651” align=“alignnone” width=“825”]
