Rajinikanth's film with Karthik Subbaraj will have music composed by Anirudh Ravichander, confirms Sun Pictures
It was a dream for Anirudh Ravichander to join hands with his matinee idol Rajinikanth. The young composer has finally grabbed the chance with Karthik Subbaraj’s new film with Thalaivar. Generally, Subbaraj teams up with Santhosh Narayanan and their combination have given many chartbusters in the past but Anirudh’s inclusion says that the film demands a different flavor of music.
Sun Pictures, producers of Rajinikanth’s next has confirmed Ravichander’s presence for their prestigious project. Anirudh had also worked with other young generation superstars including Thalapathy Vijay (Kaththi), Thala Ajith (Vedalam, Vivegam), Suriya (Thaanaa Serndha Koottam), Pawan Kalyan (Agnyaathavaasi) and Dhanush (3, VIP and Maari).
Right after his record debut 3, Anirudh is in limelight with back to back hits. The Tamil music industry says that after AR Rahman, Anirudh’s music albums have a massive expectation among the music aficionados.
Meanwhile, fans of Rajinikanth are slightly disappointed with the delay in the Kaala teaser. The film’s producer Dhanush took to his Twitter page and announced that as a mark of respect to the sad demise of Jagadguru Poojyashri Jayaendra Saraswati Shankaracharya, the teaser will only release on 2 March.
Director Ranjith’s recent interview in Ananda Vikatan has given a lot of hope to the ardent fans of Rajinikanth. From Ranjith’s interaction, it is clear that Rajinikanth asked the director to pen Kabali 2. However, when Ranjith visited the slums of Dharavi, he wrote a fresh script for the superstar.
In Kaala, Rajinikanth’s name is Karikaalan but everyone in his area addresses him as Kaala Seth. Ranjith also revealed that for the first time in his career, Rajinikanth’s dialogue delivery will have Tirunelveli accent. The Kabali director has also put a full stop to the rumors saying that the script of Kaala is based on Haji Mastan, a popular gangster in Mumbai. Ranjith says his grandfather Panchatcharam, who had a great love for his soil and its people, is the inspiration for Rajinikanth's characterization in Kaala.
Answering the question on the political dialogues in Kaala, Ranjith said: “When I narrated the script, I wasn’t aware of Rajinikanth sir’s political inclination. If audiences feel Kaala has political color, it’s nothing but mere coincidence”.
In Kaala, popular Bollywood actor Nana Patekar plays the baddie. Ranjith accepted that antagonists in his previous film Kabali were not powerful but he assured audience will love the tough fight given by Nana Patekar in Kaala. Eswari Rao will be seen as Rajinikanth’s wife in Kaala. The couple has four sons and daughters in the film.
Another interesting update on the first look teaser of Kaala is Yogi B, a popular rapper, has rendered his voice recently for an electrifying number. Kaala is scheduled to release on 27 April.
