Rajinikanth attends the audio launch of Taramani, a film three years in making

Superstar Rajinikanth is very careful on the kind of films made by others that he endorses. He has in the recent past tweeted about two Bollywood films, Kaabil and Dangal. Anything he does is usually mirred in immense buzz. So it came as a surprise when he quietly launched the audio of Ram’s Taramani at his residence in Poes Garden in Chennai. It is very rare for the superstar to launch the audio of a Tamil film. Infact he wasn’t even present for the audio launch of his own film, Kabali, earlier in 2016. He is a Tamil film director, known for his off-beat films.  After assisting Rajkumar Santoshi in Hindi films, he joined the late director Balu Mahendra known for his quality films. Later Ram debuted with the critically acclaimed film Kattradhu Thamizh, followed by Thanga Meengal, which got raving reviews and three National Film Awards. It has taken him nearly three years to direct his next long in the making Taramani, titled after the area in Chennai where all IT parks are situated. The film is about a couple in the IT field, who have relationship issues. It features Andrea and Vasanth Vijay in the lead with music by Yuvan Shankar Raja. Taramani produced by JSK Corporation is gearing up for an early January 2017 release.
