Radhika Apte to pay tribute to Asha Bhosle on her 83rd birthday by dancing on her songs

Legendary singer Asha Bhosle celebrates her 83rd birthday on Thursday, 8 September, and on the occasion Radhika Apte will be paying her a tribute in Mumbai. The actress along with choreographer Terence Lewis will be performing to the songs sung by Bhosle at a public event. The Indian Express reported, “Radhika is trained in contemporary dance. She took a professional course in the dance form in London (UK). The actor will pay tribute to Ashaji by dancing on her popular tracks such as ‘Aaj rapat jaye to’ (Namak Halaal), ‘Jaane do na’ (Saagar), and several other hits. Radhika will perform with choreographer Terence Lewis. The duo will showcase a mix of contemporary and Latin dance forms. The performance will take place on 8 September.” Speaking to Hindustan Times , the Kabali actress said, “If there is one thing I’m passionate about besides acting, it’s dancing. I am excited about paying tribute to someone like Asha tai.” In a career spanning over six decades Asha Bhosle has reportedly sung over 13,000 songs  in more than 20 Indian languages and also holds a Guinness Record for the same.
