Following the airing of Surviving R Kelly , the six-part Lifetime documentary detailing sexual abuse allegations against R Kelly, it is being reported that the R&B artist could be facing investigation in Georgia.
The attorney for Joycelyn Savage, one of the women who featured in the documentary, informed that Fulton County District Attorney reached out to him a few days after the documentary was released. He further said that Fulton County DA is conducting an investigation into Kelly, adding that he was asked to provide a list of witnesses with respect to the 2017 incident that took place in Kelly’s house, as per a CNN report.
ABC news informed that prosecutors in Chicago are urging anyone who may have been sexually abused by Kelly to come forward and speak to the police. “Please come forward. There is nothing that can be done to investigate these allegations without the cooperation of victims and witnesses. We cannot seek justice without you.” Cook County State’s Attorney Kimberly Foxx was quoted by CNN, in a press conference.
Earlier on Tuesday, Foxx said she was “sickened” after watching the Lifetime documentary, Surviving R. Kelly, which examines a history of abuse allegations against the singer.
