Quantico Season 2 countdown: Where Priyanka Chopra’s thriller left us last

Priyanka Chopra’s Quantico Season 2 premieres in India on Monday night, 26 September, a day after it aired in the US. We bet all of Chopra’s fans are geared up to see Alex Parrish kick some serious butt again. But before you dive headlong in the second season of the spy thriller and start decoding the clues with Parrish, how about a quick recap of all that went down in Season 1? The season’s finale shows how Liam O’Connor, played by Josh Hopkins, was the mastermind behind the bombing. Not just that, Parrish also discovers that O’Connor has hatched a plan to bomb Quantico, where a graduation ceremony is on in full swing. After a frantic search, Parrish and Ryan Booth (Jake McLaughlin) track O’Connor down and shoot him dead. However, all’s not well yet. The bomb is still ticking, and Parrish and her colleagues only have a few minutes to detonate it. Finally, Simon Asher (Tate Ellington) drives away with the bomb to the ocean, as the only way to stop the nuclear radiation is to set it off underwater. The final episode ends with Parrish being fired from the FBI. Moments before the credit roll, it is seen that Parrish is approached by Agent Matthew Keyes (Henry Czerny), who offers her a place in the CIA. What you can expect on Monday night: Parrish is still tough as nails — only this time, she is a CIA agent. Her on-off boyfriend Booth is now a part of the US President’s core team. When Parrish and Booth attend a summit of world leaders, Parrish knows danger is lurking just around the corner. Soon enough, a series of explosions take place knocking the President and the First Lady unconscious. A group of armed people, calling themselves Citizens’ Liberation Front, attack the place. They have a simple demand and threaten biological warfare if their demand is not met. That’s the second season of Quantico for you.
