When the highest paid actresses list was released by Forbes earlier this month, there was one question of everyone's mind. With Deepika Padukone on the list, where was Priyanka Chopra?

Firstpost had reported in that the list of highest paid actresses, the gross figures of celebrities like Jennifer Aniston and Padukone came from their endorsement deals. Priyanka Chopra, on the other hand, has been put onto the global map arguably for her stint in ABC's Quantico.

With season two of the show ready, Chopra has now made it to the Forbes list of highest paid TV actresses at the 8th position. However, as this report states, a lot of her income, too, comes from endorsement deals.

For the fifth time in a row, Modern Family star Sophie Vergara is number one on the list, with a whopping 43 million dollars between 2015 to 2016 (the net worth of all the actresses in the list are calculated for the same duration).

Second and third on the list are Big Bang Theory and The Mindy Project actresses Kaley Cuoco and Mindy Kaling, with 24.5 million and 15 million dollars respectively. Cuoco earns close to 1 million dollars per episode of The Big Bang Theory.

Ellen Pompeo, Kerry Washington and Castle star Stana Katic follow, and on 8th place is our very own desi girl Priyanka Chopra. The Forbes report attributes her (seven figure) endorsement deal with Appy Fizz as a large contributor to the 11 million dollars she has earned in the last year.

Priyanka beats veteran actresses like Julia Louis-Dreyfus (of Seinfeld fame), Julie Bowen (Modern Family) and Zooey Deschanel (New Girl) on the list. Together, all the 15 actresses on the list have churned out a total of 208.5 million dollars in one year.

Girl power indeed.
