Chandoo Mondeti-directed Telugu film Premam has released in theatres. The remake of the Malayalam film has high expectations from it as the original went on to become a blockbuster hit. By the looks of it, the Telugu film will be fulfilling those expectations as it has received positive reviews.
Starring Naga Chaitanya in the lead with Shruti Haasan, Anupama Parameswaran and Madonna Sebastian, Premam is a romantic-comedy film that traces three stages of romance in the life of the protagonist with three different women.
As a special treat for fans Daggubati Venkatesh and Akkineni Nagarjuna make a special appearance in the film.
Telugu360 in its review says that though it is a good watch, compared to the original film it lacks a little on the emotions. They have rated the film a 3 out of 5.
PressKS.com gives the film a 3.75 out of 5 and says about the film, “Premam is all for some genuine fun and perhaps, a few nostalgic moments as well. It’s a lengthy ride for sure, but it will leave you wanting for more.”
