Chandoo Mondeti-directed Telugu film Premam has released in theatres. The remake of the Malayalam film has high expectations from it as the original went on to become a blockbuster hit. By the looks of it, the Telugu film will be fulfilling those expectations as it has received positive reviews. [caption id=“attachment_3039194” align=“alignleft” width=“380”] A still from the film.[/caption] Starring Naga Chaitanya in the lead with Shruti Haasan, Anupama Parameswaran and Madonna Sebastian, Premam is a romantic-comedy film that traces three stages of romance in the life of the protagonist with three different women. As a special treat for fans Daggubati Venkatesh and Akkineni Nagarjuna make a special appearance in the film. Telugu360 in its review says that though it is a good watch, compared to the original film it lacks a little on the emotions. They have rated the film a 3 out of 5. PressKS.com gives the film a 3.75 out of 5 and says about the film, “Premam is all for some genuine fun and perhaps, a few nostalgic moments as well. It’s a lengthy ride for sure, but it will leave you wanting for more.” Here’s what Twitterati had to say about the film:
Loved the stage 2 & 3 in #Premam. @chay_akkineni @shrutihaasan are sooooo good in the film. A good remake. Congrats to the whole team.
